Hace  tiempo que dejamos de utilizar el sombrero como prenda de vestir cotidiana. En los hombres el uso de sombrero tipo Fedora o Homburg era tradicional en los años 40-50 y parte de los 60. Las mujeres también solían utilizarlo constantemente. Actualmente se emplea esporádicamente y mas bien ha sido sustituido por las gorras. Se ha la ha modificado constantemente, como sucedió con las epidemias y la lucha de lo médicos para detenerlas. Hoy en día, como en la edad media, estamos en la búsqueda del elixir de la juventud y hemos logrado incrementar la sobrevida de los seres humanos.

Como el sombrero, ciertas áreas de la medicina  ahora son especializadas  y de moda. Antes el sombrero formaba parte del atuendo diario, ahora solo es útil

El ser humano ya no es visto como un ente integro, en forma holística. Hoy en día, ha sido desmembrado en áreas  muy especificas.

Por la influencia de la novedad, de que lo especializado es mas eficaz.

No digo con ello que los médicos especialistas deban desaparecer.

Para llegar a tener una especialidad primero somos médicos generales, es decir tenemos conocimientos de todas las áreas. Son los cimientos del conocimiento médico . Depende de cada uno si estos conocimientos son adecuados, con bases sólidas.

Seguimos necesitando del Médico de formación General para la atención de los diversos áreas de atención sanitaria que constan de tres niveles.
